Parlor Body Acoustic Guitar
Personally, I love the way these little guys look. Designed for use in smaller areas like coffee shops and intimate gigs, the parlor has a punchy mid and high while lacking in bass. The main benefit of parlor body styles is their comfort. They often have shorter necks, and as you can see, are quite compact. Much like the concert body, the small size makes projecting the sound very easy, however these guitars are not ideal for strumming as it is very easy to overload the wood and get a "distorted" sound players often describe as "boxy". The sound of these guitars when strumming is kind of tinny and lacking bass, but they really shine with fingerstyle and softer music to backup a singer. They are also great for travel for obvious reasons.
