Hair

Known as the center of identity, hair comes in many shapes and forms specificlly in Black Cultue. Not only is it seen as a form of art, but it is linked to years or history and slavery. Hairstyles such as braids or dreadlocks were used to symbolise a persons tribe, social status and/or background. There is also history of rice seeds braided into ones hair as a means for survival and culture of their homeland. In today's age, the art of hairstyles has evolved, incorporating extensions, beads, accessories, color, and etc.
