With the Leica Q2 priced at a steep $5,000, many individuals think that this camera is far too overpriced for its value and that there are cheaper alternatives for the same quality. Yes, the camera is pricey; however, it is not overpriced. The cost and performance of the camera and its materials correlate with the price. Although the Leica Q2 cameras are marketed for a pretty penny, the camera's performance and the materials used in the lens and waterproof technology are reflected in the price, thus making an equal value. There are plenty of cheaper alternatives for the Leica Q2, including the Canon EOS R or the Panasonic Lumix LX100. However, while these alternatives may be more affordable, the functionality and performance of these cameras are less efficient and versatile than the Leica Q2.
