These cookies take a classic crowd pleaser to the next level with melty chocolate chunks and chewy oats! To get started, grab two mixing bowls, a hand mixer,
a cookie sheet, a 1 cup measuring cup, a 1/2 cup measuring cup, a 1/4 cup measuring cup, a teaspoon, and a tablespoon.
Use to hand mixture to cream together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and shortening as smooth as possible.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing them in with the handmixer. Mix the vanilla in as well.
In a seperate bowl mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and thoroughly combine.
Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients in increments, stirring often to ensure it is well mixed. Stir in the oats and
mix, then stir in the chocolate chunks.
Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper and spoon the cookie dough onto the sheet in small balls, about 2 tablespoons of dough each.
Bake the cookies at 350 degrees for 11-13 minutes, and allow them to cool slightly before serving so they don't melt to pieces! These
cookies are fall apart soft, gooey, and perfect for dipping in milk! Store in a closed container at room temperature.
